Are all markets in Wichita operated by the same group?

No. No, we are not affiliated with any other markets in Wichita. Old Town Farm & Art Market is proud to be the largest privately owned farmers' market in Kansas, hosting more than 100 vendors weekly through peak season, featuring a mix of food, art, handmade artisan goods, live music, and street entertainers!

Is the market open year-round?

The market runs from April through the third week in December. Closed Thanksgiving weekend. January through March, we take a winter break to prepare for the upcoming season.

What are the hours of Old Town Farm & Art Market?

The market is open every Saturday from April through mid-December. From April through October, hours are 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. In November and December, hours shift to 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The market is closed Thanksgiving weekend.

Are dogs allowed at the market?

Yes! We are Wichita’s only dog-friendly farmers market. Well-behaved dogs on leashes are always welcome. Learn more about our Rules for Dog Etiquette and Safety.

Is parking available nearby?

Yes, plenty of FREE parking is available in Old Town surrounding the market site. Street parking and nearby lots make it easy to visit.

Is the market accessible for strollers and wheelchairs?

Yes. The entire market site is both concrete and brick, which is stroller- and wheelchair-friendly.

Where is the market located?

835 E. 1st Street - Wichita, KS, 67202. You’ll find us at Farm & Art Market Plaza in historic Old Town Wichita, Kansas. The market is surrounded by brick-lined streets, shops, and restaurants, making it the perfect Saturday destination.

Do vendors accept credit/debit cards?

Yes. All of our vendors accept cards. Although it’s always a good idea to bring cash for the best shopping experience.

Can I use SNAP/EBT at the market?

Yes. We accept SNAP/EBT and offer produce matching programs when available. Visit the market info booth to learn how it works.

Are political organizations allowed to set up booths, solicit for signatures, or hand out materials?

No. Due to the Market’s strict no politics or advancing one’s ideology policy, some people and/or organizations will not be approved. No political or what could be deemed activist campaigning is permitted. The Market has a very diverse customer base. We are sensitive to maintaining its fun and friendly atmosphere, which includes being a refuge from divisive and what some could deem as political or ideological. This zero-tolerance rule applies to vendors, products, organizations, and visitors.  Also, only approved vendors and partners may distribute promotional material at the market.

How can I become a vendor?

Vendor applications are open all season! Visit the ‘Join the Market’ section on our website for all the details, including the Vendor Application.

Is there a deadline to be a vendor?

No. Applications are open throughout the season. Our motto is: “When you’re ready, the market is here for you.”
