Old Town Farm & Art Market is known for being welcoming, professional, and family-friendly. That environment exists because vendors, staff, and partners work together to create a positive experience for customers and for one another.

Vendors are representatives of their businesses and of the market as a whole. Professional conduct is expected at all times.

Professional Conduct Expectations

Vendors are expected to conduct themselves in a courteous, respectful, and professional manner toward:

  • Customers

  • Market staff and management

  • Other vendors

  • Musicians, entertainers, and stakeholders

Behavior that detracts from the operation, reputation, or atmosphere of the market is not permitted.

Any issues or conflicts should be reported promptly to Market staff or management.

Zero-Tolerance Policies

The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:

  • Harassment, intimidation, discrimination, or targeting of any kind

  • Disparaging other vendors or their products

  • Aggressive selling, shouting, or “hawking” to attract customers

  • Fighting, yelling, or unprofessional confrontations

  • Playing radios or sound-generating devices during market hours, unless pre-approved

  • Smoking within the market area

  • Selling, consuming, or advertising tobacco or illegal products

Vendors are responsible for the conduct of their employees, representatives, and family members.

Political & Ideological Messaging

(Zero Tolerance) Political or ideological messaging is not permitted, including:

  • Signs, clothing, stickers, symbols, or products that advance political or ideological viewpoints

This policy applies to vendors, products, and guest organizations and is strictly enforced.

Appearance & Presentation

Vendors are expected to present themselves and their booths professionally.

Requirements include:

  • Clean, appropriate attire

  • Name tags worn during market hours

  • A professional business identification sign or banner displayed at all times

Maintaining a neat, organized booth throughout the market day is part of professional representation.

Fair & Ethical Selling

  • Predatory pricing and product dumping are not allowed

  • Vendors should understand their production costs and price products fairly

  • False advertising or misleading claims are prohibited

Competition is healthy, but practices that undermine other vendors or the market as a whole are not permitted.

Safety & Sobriety

Vendors believed to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or behaving in an unsafe or unprofessional manner, may have their permission to sell revoked immediately.

Accountability

Failure to comply with conduct standards may result in:

  • Verbal or written warnings

  • Suspension from one or more market days

  • Immediate removal when necessary to protect customer safety, market operations, or reputation
